How to Capture Elusive Level 3 Data: The Secrets of Survey Design
Speaker: Ken Phillips

No matter how well you design and deliver learning within your organization, you are probably experiencing increased demands to demonstrate how your learning programs impact business results. Unfortunately many Workplace Learning and Performance (WLP) professionals struggle with this because they are simply uninformed in the art and science of evaluation design. Now Phillips Associates fills that gap with the “How-To” Measurement & Evaluation Series. These tips and techniques are based on current education and behavioral science research findings in survey design methodology.

To establish real credibility and prove value, you need to measure whether or not participants actually applied what they learned once they are back on the job (Level 3 evaluation). Unfortunately, measuring on-the-job behavior change is not something many WLP professionals have much experience with nor do very well.

In this session, you will:

  • Examine viable sources for measuring Level 3 behavior and guidelines for selecting the best source.
  • Analyze the common mistakes made by many WLP professionals when creating Level 3 participant surveys.
  • Learn 12 tips for overcoming these mistakes.
