Knowledge at Noon: Design for High Impact

Join us on Thursday, February 19 from 11:30 - 1:00 at United Way of Central Alabama (or on Zoom) to hear from Dave Vance!

Would you plan/design a course differently if you and the stakeholder agreed upfront that the planned impact from the course could be high? Imagine that you and the VP of Sales agreed that a program for sales reps could make a 30% contribution toward achieving the goal of a 10% increase in sales. What would it take to achieve that kind of impact? What would you have to do that you normally do not do?

Join Dave to explore what strategic learning requires for success and how it differs from typical role-based skills development, including:

  • The definition of strategic learning
  • The elements of a carefully planned program designed for high impact
  • The roles and responsibilities for the stakeholder and for talent development professionals
  • The importance of communication and reinforcement plans
Learning Objectives
  • Define strategic learning and contrast it with role-based skill development
  • Identify the critical success factors for strategic learning
  • Increase your understanding of isolated impact and what it takes to achieve high impact
