The Glass Ceiling is History

by Tina Savas, Author & Speaker

The proverbial “Glass Ceiling” is gone. What exists today is a lot more sobering, and the problem more prevalent. It is called “Gender Asbestos” and it is in the very walls and cultures of organizations no matter the size. In every company, the number of women relative to men drops at most every management layer – almost from the very first one.

Tina Savas takes a fresh look at this old issue:  Gender. The subject is not new, but the benefits of an organization getting Gender Balance training right today have never been greater. Gender balance is a tremendous asset.

Most of us struggle with how to actually implement gender balance training successfully as it can be a precarious topic, but the journey from imbalance to balance is really quite simple. Savas will explain the four phases that can be implemented by corporate trainers in order to put management onto the right track. The steps are designed to provide a clear understanding of how to approach the challenging process of shifting an old corporate culture into the modern age, thereby eliminating the asbestos that threatens our organizations’ stability.

Tina Savas, Author & Speaker, is among the first wave of women entrepreneurs in Birmingham, Alabama. In 1983, she founded the Birmingham Business Journal newspaper, followed by Alabama Health News, Alabama Construction News, and Birmingham Weekly, the area’s only weekly alternative newspaper and winner of national editorial awards.
