Design thinking can boost the ADDIE process in several ways, including helping you truly understand the problem you're solving; helping you develop empathy for stakeholders, including learners; and ensuring your solution will work before you start developing it.

Jillian Miles Massey is a Talent Management Consultant with experience in higher education, industry, and not-for-profit volunteer leadership. As a faculty member at Auburn University, she designed, taught, and facilitated university courses and career development programs in the fields of management, human resources, entrepreneurship, and organizational development. She is now an Adjunct Instructor at Athens State University. Jillian spent her early career in recruitment & selection and training & development roles for Fortune 500 companies including Sherwin-Williams and The Walt Disney Company. Now, she and the team at her current company Horizon Point support organizations with HR and talent development consulting services.
