"Millennials are Here: Secrets to Effectively Training the "Net" Generation"

The Millennial Generation, born between 1981 – 2000, has grown up with the internet and other technology. They are eager to learn and they expect their employers to provide ongoing learning enrichment. Yet there is a key caveat: they want to know the “why” of their learning. In essence they want to know that what they are learning today will help them in their long-term career.Couple that with the fact that this is the first time that we have four generations in the workplace, it’s enough to have any trainer perplexed to how to balance the training needs of the millennial generation with that of the other generations: Traditionalist, Baby Boomers, and Gen X.

After this workshop, participants will:

• Understand the training differences among the four generations and the impact to how training is implemented
  
• Explain the benefit of combining andragogy and pedagogy in designing training for Millennials
  
• Identify key questions to ask to effectively design and tailor training for millennial learners
  
• Learn effective training methods that gain the attention of Millennials and increase their knowledge transfer
