Volunteer Month-Exceptional Foundation

We are excited to have ATD volunteer with The Exceptional Foundation.  Depending on the number of volunteers we could have multiple groups to assist in the daily activities, which include art, science, cooking, gym games, life skills, and more.

The Exceptional Foundation is a non-profit organization that enhances the quality of life for individuals of all ages with developmental challenges by providing social and recreational activities designed to promote healthy living, support social relationships, improve functional skills, and foster community involvement.  By doing so, we enrich the well-being of families by offering a healthy, safe, and professional environment where their loved ones may thrive.

The Exceptional Foundation provides year-round services to individuals with special needs who have reached the age of 21 and no longer receive services from school systems.  Programs are also offered to the school-age exceptional population through after-school activities and a summer camp.   Daily programs include field trip outings, competitive sports teams and various social events.
