 Speaker: Robert Daniel
The primary responsibility of a talent development professional is to influence participants to learn.  This directive may be implemented in hundreds of ways, from the first stage of designing to the final stage of delivering, but the fundamental objective, “to influence a learner” never changes.  There is no greater expert on influencing others than Dale Carnegie.  He literally and figuratively “wrote the book” on how to win friends and influence people.  His bestselling book by that name is still on prominent and popular “must read” book lists in 2015. 

 For our September program, the Birmingham Chapter of ATD presents the Dale Carnegie’s veteran trainer, Robert Daniel.  Mr. Daniel will share Dale Carnegie’s proven process for influencing learners and handling pressure situations specifically for trainers and facilitators.  Mr. Daniel brings a wealth of executive and operational experience, including having coached many of Birmingham’s top executives over the years.  We are very excited and fortunate to have him as our presenter!

Using the Dale Carnegie philosophy, Mr. Daniel will reveal new and polished tools to help us improve our effectiveness in the following:

  • Applying interpersonal skills effectively with a wide spectrum of personalities
  • Dealing with difficult attitudes and behaviors
  • Demonstrating poise under pressure

 

Mr. Daniel is a veteran trainer for Dale Carnegie Training in Central and North Alabama.  Robert has a wealth of executive and operational experience ranging from finance and insurance to utilities and service industries. He brings a range of highly accessible and confidence-building approaches to the programs he teaches. Robert has been a certified Dale Carnegie Trainer for 40 years and is certified to teach the Dale Carnegie Course: Effective Communications and Human Relations, High Impact Presentations, The Advanced Dale Carnegie Course, The Leader in You and One-Day Seminars.  He has coached many of Birmingham’s top executives over the years.
