Joyce E. Brooks is the author of “Self-Inflicted Overload - Five Steps to Achieving Work-Life Balance and Becoming Your Very Best” and“It Ain’t Over – Three Little Words that Lead to Personal and Professional Fulfillment.

Joyce holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from University of South Alabama and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  Joyce retired from Alabama Power Company in 2012 with over two decades of corporate experience. As a mother, author, professional speaker, artist, cancer survivor and community leader, Joyce understands the causes and affects of stress and overload. As the managing partner of Brooks Consulting, Joyce works with individuals and organizations to help them become their very best with a focus on individual, professional and leadership development.

Joyce gives speeches and facilitates workshops regularly on how to effectively manage stress, minimize the overload and experience a more fulfilling life both personally and professionally.
