Training & Development on a Shoestring:
10 Ways to be Strategic & Intentional in Tough Times
Speaker: Libbet Crumbley

After earning an Accounting degree from Auburn University, Libbet began her career with roles in auditing, systems analysis/programming, and progressing to managing software development.  Later she earned a MBA from UAB and transitioned to broader business roles including leading a team in a large re-engineering effort and managing numerous business process improvement projects. Her most recent position was serving as Director of Management and Organization Development.  In 2008, she completed a Masters in Positive Organization Development from Case Western University - Weatherhead School of Management.  Now, Libbet is an independent consultant helping organizations in a variety of development areas.  Libbet is a member of The Women’s Network, BSHRM, The OD Network, ASTD, and serves on the Board of Directors for Glenwood Inc.

She describes her approach to consulting engagements is to: “1) listen and ask questions to understand the organization’s needs, the culture, and the individuals, 2) offer strategic yet practical solutions and approaches, and 3) partner with leadership to achieve positive and impactful change”.

Her presentation is Training & Development on a Shoestring - 10 Ways to be Strategic and Intentional in Tough Times.  Given recent economic conditions, she will provide tips to professionals to ensure that organizations view their investment in development as “money well spent”.
