    The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for ensuring that Mayer University is delivering value to our associates and is contributing to Mayer’s commitment to Be the Best Educated and Most Knowledgeable Distributor for our Customers. Using adult learning and instructional design best practices the Learning & Development Specialist will develop a range of content for learning experiences, including: Interactive e-learning modules, instructor-led training (ILT) design, virtual instructor-led training designs (VILT), videos, job aides, facilitator guides, and resource materials. Collaborating with suppliers and internal subject matter experts will be essential to understand the development needs of associates and to maintain a library of content to serve those needs. The ability to build relationships with associates at all levels is essential for this position.

    Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities • Design and develop interactive learning programs using appropriate tools • Conduct Monthly Mayer University webinar for all new Mayer Associates • Apply tested curriculum design strategies to engage adult learners • Review legacy content and modify as needed to meet the changing needs of associates • Manage and update course offerings, descriptions, and categorizations • Update and maintain role-based Learning Paths • Upload new product courses by supplier and category • Update existing SOPs and upload new SOPs assigning to appropriate Learning Paths • Monitor and maintain data integration feed from payroll system • Enroll associates in appropriate training tracks based on role and experience • Prepare and produce monthly learning reports and a company-wide learning dashboard • Develop and monitor course schedule and enrollments for instructor-led courses • Respond to Mayer University e-mails within one business day of receipt • Maintain a clean Mayer University Outlook Inbox • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and statements of ethics • Share and reinforce our Vision, Mission, and Values • Stay up to date on processes, systems, and products • Maintain a strong professional image


    Minimum Education:
    Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Experience and proficiency creating computer-based training content using tools such as Camtasia, Lectora, Captivate, Articulate or other commercially available tools.  The ability to quickly understand complex materials and to work independently under limited supervision is essential.

    Skills and Competencies:
    Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) LMS and Learning Content Tools
    Presentation Skills Written and Verbal Communication

    Additional Responsibilities:
    Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement Process
    Active member of the Human Resources Team
